Toby Huddlestone
Enjoy is excited to announce that UK artist Toby Huddlestone will be giving a talk/performance in the gallery this Thursday 6 May, shortly after 8pm. Come along after the Urban Dream Brokerage, which is happening at City Gallery Wellington from 6pm. Toby's talk is the first event of a new volunteer led initiative, the Speakers' Nook.
Toby's talk/performance is titled APATHY and has been described as "part-history lesson,
part-political campaigning and a fast-paced look at 20th Century dissent leading to a belief that Apathy is a potential political stance one should now adopt."
The Speakers' Nook is a sporadic, intermittent series of public talks and lectures that will be held at Enjoy during 2010. It is distinct from Enjoy's exhibition programme and aims to make the most of the interesting folks that live in, or visit Wellington. Updates and event for the Speakers' Nook will be made over the Enjoy Blog, and on the streets of Wellington. The Nook provides an informal BYO atmosphere, with tea and bickies on us.
