Collaborative Practices

Calling all artists ! In preparation for the upcoming Wellington Collaboratorium, Enjoy is calling on all art practitioners that work, or experiment within any manner of collaborative practice to be part of a unique project publication.

This publication will feature key texts, a white pages section, and notes and documentation for a public panel discussion to be chaired by New York-based writer/artist Gregory Sholette at Victoria University in late June. The publication will be available in New Zealand and abroad.

White page listings* are available and can be reserved for $5. We encourage all artists with collaborative practices to be a part of this resource. Drop your listing + $5 by the gallery, post it to us, or email Enjoy for bank details or more info. Updates on this project coming soon.

*listings could include brief details/words/links to information about your practice. They should include name of artist/collective and web/e-mail address/s. 25 words MAX.

call for project assistant

Enjoy is currently seeking a volunteer Project Administrator to help Enjoy realise an exciting international art project taking place in Wellington in June, 2010 with New York based artist and writer Gregory Sholette. The Project Administrator will join our team of two, for 5/6 hours per week over the period of April/May/June.

In collaboration with Dr. Sondra Bacharach of Victoria University's School of Philosophy, Enjoy will bring Sholette to Wellington to undertake a period of residence, during which his project -- The Wellington Collaboratorium -- will take place. The project will include a series of public art works, talks, lectures, and a public panel discussion. The Project Administrator will help us to organise and administer the various public facets of this exciting project.

This is a personal development opportunity, as the Project Administrator will have a hands-on role in all areas of the project from development to realisation. The Administrator will work directly with the artist and the Enjoy team in roles as diverse as helping source sponsorship, to assisting with management of public seminars, production of the work, and to contributing to the subsequent publication. The successful applicant will be an independent worker, have excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. Previous arts management experience is not necessary, but an interest in art and communications is crucial, and relevant qualification - or part thereof - in Visual Arts/Communications etc., is desired.
